At this time in my life I am trying to make an intelligible whole out of all the pieces. I mean both musical pieces and fragments of myself. Some of these shards can simply be discarded and some even have to be trash-disposed. But most need my focused attention to fit in and to function as part of an integrity which will be my legacy —-so I want it to be as useful and as life-enhancing as I can make it. I am working on every aspect of what makes it come alive and stay that way. And that is why yet more new pieces is not my present aim. I focus rather than that on clarifying the meaning of all the pieces: what they can contribute to a new and more harmonious whole.
